Craig Fire Rescue is committed to friendly, visible community interatction through the support of local events and organizations. Craig Fire Rescue firefighters do not receive compensation for public events and are often required to take time off their primary employment to meet public relations requests. Craig Fire Rescue firefighters will make every effort to participate in events upon request.

Craig Fire Rescue participates in a number of community activities annually including: Fourth of July Fireworks, Parade of Lights, Homecoming Parade, Whittle the Wood, Moffat County Fair, Moffat County Air Show and Clean-up Craig Chamber Activities.

In addition, Craig Fire Rescue firefighters make every effort to accomodate requests for education visits to schools, daycares, assisted living facilities and businesses. Educational visits encompass general fire safety education, development of escape plans, safety specific topics (kitchen fires, contacting 911, etc.) and a variety of other topics as requested.

Firefighters also provide fire extinguisher training at no charge to the public and as requested by area businesses. Fire inspections and plan reviews are available upon request for a nominal fee. Requests for fire inspections and plan reviews are granted by Fire Chief KC Hume.
